Cannot play online through XBL

I was invited to a realm on Minecraft Windows 10 Edition but when trying to accept I get an error saying "You cannot play online multiplayer though Xbox Live because of how your account is set up." When I try to change these settings on my Adult
account I get "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later." This has persisted overnight and I'm getting pretty frustrated.

I've looked over these forums and others have had the same issue but there's no solution I can find.





If it helps identify the problem, I just changed my account to an adult.

I haven't had this issue until today.

I am not using an Xbox, I'm using the website.

I can't connect to XBL through X360 guide.

Hello, I have a very specific problem. When I play X360 games on XBO I cannot connect to XBL through X360 guide, play multiplayer modes through internet and download cloud saves despite being connected to XBL through XBO interface. None of my friends experience
this issue. Also, I had no problems with connecting to XBL while playing X360 games from Rare Replay... until now. Is there anything I can do about it? Is this issue related to inclusion of a new Xbox interface?

 

360 offline question

Yes and no.

You can make an offline profile to play games, earn achievement and keep separate saved data for all your games. But keep in mind, if you want to go online with that account or using online or on another console... you will have to go through the process of merging it with an actual online XBL account.

• You’re signed in to the console using an adult account. Children and teens are restricted from

Yes I am signed in, I'm not on the console, I'm on the website on my computer signed in with an adult account, and there is no error code number. It simply says "An unexpected error occurred"

 

I'm not using any sort of Apple product. The realm server settings have not been changed either.

 

I've been having trouble for about a week now after the server outage last friday I'm not able to play online or start parties nothing of my Internet has changed just that none of the Xbox live multiplayer worKS anymore what is happening

Please try to set the DNS to manual and see if that will fix the network/gaming issue.

Network settings on Xbox One

Go to settings:

1.Network

2.Network settings

3.Advanced settings

4.DNS settings> manual

5. set Primary DNS to 1.1.1.1

6. set Secondary DNS to 1.0.0.1

7. Test all networks> then test your content/games/chats/etc.

You guys' servers are back up and running for me and no it wasn't a network issue it was on y'all's end!!!

Hello there!

We see that this is particularly with accepting Realms invites.

It is mentioned in the original post that the settings had just been adjusted to make the account an adult account.

Try referencing our Minecraft Realms Support Page as well as attempt to follow this
YouTube video.

Give these a shot and let us know if this works.

I tried changing DNS stuff on my computer and that didn't work. I don't think it's a connection issue because even on mobile data on my phone I get that same error.
