Firstly can you please carry out a console hard reset by pressing the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once the console has shut down remove the power from the wall outlet for 5 minutes then power everything back up and try again.

If this does not resolve your issue have a quick look on th Xbox Enforcement Web site below and check to make sure you are not subject to any enforcement actions at the moment.

Also, what is the age on your account? I know that EA won't permit users under 13 to play their games online.

A gold membership is valid only for the profile it was purchased on/for. The IDs on your console can play games offline, but a Gold subscription is required for all online play (with the exception of 'Guests' in games that permit them).
