Cannot play online and have Xbox live account

System: Xbox One X

Since the purchase of this console, we have never been able to play online. It does not connect to servers. AND WE PAY our Xbox live membership.

When we open Mortal Combat gives us error message saying "You are restricted from accessing this content"

We try opening Call of Duty 4 and it gives us error 0x80A40401. Which means that services are not available where we are. BUT that cannot be because first we lived in Miami, FL and now in Mcallen, TX.

Troubleshooting already completed.

We check the internet connection it all good.

Checked NAT is open

reinstalled games

Checked location

Checked xbox live

checked parental control all good

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are having issues connecting to servers. Unfortunately, this is handled by the game servers. These are run by the developers. For the first error "You are restricted from accessing this content"
the profile being used is more than likely a child account. Some game developers restrict age access. As for the second error, your NAT type can change when accessing a game server. Have you tried

opening ports?

You cannot you need an Xbox live gold account to play online

I am also having same issue. Cannot play online multiplayer. You are not connected to xbox live... Even though I have a gold account.

Hello,

You need a paid Xbox LIVE Gold membership in order to play online with others. Your account has a free membership and cannot play online with others.

To play online multiplayer you need an Xbox Live Gold subscription. If you don't have that, then you cannot play online.
