    Cannot Play on Minecraft Realms due to Settings


    I've followed the online guides provided by Microsoft and had these three settings enabled to attempt to access realms.

    • You can play with people outside of Xbox Live
    • You can create and join clubs
    • You can join multiplayer games

    However, it still presents the message "You cannot play on Realms because of how your Microsoft Account is set up." My account is still considered a child account, so perhaps that is what is causing the issue. If so, I can provide identification to prove
    that I'm over the age of 18, if there's any way that can allow me to change my account to an adult account. Otherwise, all of the settings are as the page indicates they should be, so I'm at a loss for what could be causing this restriction to be in place.
    Any suggestions for a course of action?

    Has anyone figured out a solution to this? I'm having the same problem:

    You cannot play on Realms because of how your Microsoft Account is set up. See instructions for reviewing and changing your privacy settings at aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp.

    - I have an adult account, not a child's account, so the above link is not applicable.
    - That said, I have double checked all my settings to make sure they are set to "Allow" and "Everybody". My settings are correct.
    - I had my brother try to log me in under my account on his Xbox. He had no problem. So apparently this is somehow specific to my Xbox.
    - I have tried everything I can think of, including a factory reset. I cannot solve this problem.
    - I contacted Xbox support and they tried to help me for 20 minutes, before deciding the problem was on Mojang's end.
    - I contacted Mojang support. They told me to make a bug report. I did that, but apparently this problem has been around a while, and isn't fixed: [MCPE-29304] "You cannot play online multiplayer through Xbox Live because of how your account is set up" - Jira

    If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate them. I've been working on figuring this out for two days, and I'm ready to pull my hair out.

    Thank you so much for your swift response. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I've Set all the settings to "Friends" except for Video calling. I have restarted the device and still Minecraft says "Due to the setting in your Microsoft account you cannot play Realms..." (translated from German).
    I do not see any setting on that page or in any of the adjacent named "Multiplayer". On the help page (https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us...ealms-Multiplayer-Access-for-a-Child-Account) it says:

    "If a member of your family group wants to play multiplayer features in Minecraft, such as Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Realms, an organizer can adjust these settings by using the Xbox Family Settings app."

    This app is available on Playstore, but not for my Samsung tablet.

    I recently got back into minecraft and wanted to get back onto my realm, however when I get into the menu, it says a message along the lines of "you cannot play realms due to how your online settings are configured, please change them"

    I have an adult account with all the settings set to allowed and it still wont fix it. Is there a way to fix this?
    Maybe you have been banned for something?

    Among others he cannot play Minecraft multiplayer or Realms.

    And yes i cant join "Realms" in Minecraft due to this

    Thanks for the reply. We understand this is on a switch, you still log in with Microsoft account. And with realms, the cross play needs to be enabled due to realms accesses all platforms Minecraft is played on.
