    Cannot play GTA V online with my XBOX live Gold account


    Hi,

    Hope someone can help me out, I really can't play GTA V online for 6 weeks now. I've played online with the free month Gold subscription. I've paid the extention and played online just fine.

    Somehow I couldn't connect to GTA V online, and I was tipped to simply remove the account on my xbox and login again and redownload all made progress. That worked fine, however now I cannot get online. Everytime getting the message your profile cannot access
    GTA online.

    Looking into my subscription page at xbox live I can clearly see my paid subscription and progress on the local game is updated.

    Now what? I'm paying for gold, but not getting the service I need. Getting really frustrated and upset. I have limited time to get support, finally after weeks have some free time (this weekend) and Microsoft doesn't offer support and Rockstar only allows
    support through community! So made an account on their social Rockstar platform, and I'm not allowed to post support messages for a month!

    An really frustrated newby gamer on the XBOX!!!!!! HELP...

    Why isn't my Xbox live sharing between local accounts?

    My brother just bought Xbox live on his account so he could play GTA V (Which is my game, bought under my account.) My Xbox live has recently expired so he just bought it on his account thinking that it would transfer over to mine. He cannot play GTA Online
    because he has the "This account does not have access to GTA Online" Error. If you press A it brings him to buy Xbox live (he already did it) he hits continue and it brings him to the Xbox Live home page where it shows the free games you can get, And it says
    at the top "12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription", So he has Xbox live no doubt about it, but he cannot play GTA V nor is the Xbox live shared to my account, both of our accounts are on the same Xbox. He purchased The live with his debit card

    xbox live customer support told me to come on here

    my gamertag for xbox live cannot go online on gta v. I can go online with my other games but not gta v. I have called rockstar and xbox live and they think the only reason my account wont work is that I coulda been banned. please

    Yes. I'm on an adult account I was playing GTA v yesterday morning then I turned my Xbox off and a few hours later I went to get on to play and it just keeps saying I don't have access to GTA v online I put live gold in last night to see if that work
    but it still saying the same and not letting me on

    Hi,

    An active Xbox Live is only required to play online games with others and for Games with Gold feature.

    Sea of Thieves is an online only game, you need Xbox Live to play this, and you need Live to play Multiplayer on GTA V, you don't need Gold to play the single player story on GTA of couse.

    All you need to do is redeem the codes to download your games on your account, your account doesn't need to be Gold.

    In a nutshell, only Sea of Thieves requires Gold to play the game, all the other games mentioned can be played single player.

    All online multiplayer, Fortnite, Halo, GTA V RDR 2 require an active Gold membership or have one account sharing gold on the Xbox(set to home) to play online multiplayer.

    I don't have/play GTA V Online. I have GTA 5 as Disc (CD) — I currently have no Xbox live Gold membership / you don't need that to play GTA V — I already completed every mission. I just want to continue playing it as usual, but like I said I'm stuck in
    the Story-Mode loading screen.
