Cannot play game purchased from Arcade

I live in TW and bought my console from the US. I have successfully changed my region and all my games tend to play well.

I have bought games from the Arcade and they, too, play well.

I bought a game last night from the Arcade that will not play due to the region. It is telling me to insert the CD for the correct region. Again, I have purchased this game online from the Arcade. At one time I had the physical copy of the game, but it has
since been rendered unplayable. I removed all traces I could find of the game from the console, yet the Arcade version will still not play.

Could it be that a region-blocked game was made available in a region it is blocked on Arcade?

Is discless play without a 24 check still possible?

Ironically, in what I'm proposing, games purchased via an online method could be played from the hdd offline. Games bought on disk would need to be online to play diskless

Whilst I have not purchased any full retail games from the xbox live service I have got 2 arcade games which since purchased and link to my console can be played offline (Well, they used to til the console I purchased them with broke).

Anyone here purchased digital copies of full proper games (Non arcade) and able to play offline ?

MS could very easily make the old system possible without the 24h checks, I know 2-3 ways they can implement it but they either want it one way or another and it backfired.

Unless everyone everywhere has a stable and strong broadband connection fully digital isnt going to be possible to implement, and incase someone comes blabbing about steam then thats another reason a lot of people dont have PC's and stick to consoles instead as they cannot get online.

 

By "Arcade" I am assuming the Xbox 360 Arcade titles. Some of those were region locked yes. Changing the region on your Xbox One console will affect only the Xbox One titles, not Xbox 360. For Xbox 360 titles you need to change the region using this link.
