CANNOT PLAY DOWNLOADED GAMES I PAID FOR BECAUSE OF MICROSOFT TACTICS

Recently my wife got me an XBOX ONE which came with some games, one disc and other game was a download, as well as a one month XBOX live subscription. We paid over $500.00 and I cannot play the downloaded game unless I pay to be on XBOX live again. I was
not that impressed with it that I would want to pay the monthly fee to join. When a person owns a game and paid a lot for the game system they should be able to play it without any hidden fees. I mean what is the point of buying games, or an XBOX for that
matter if I have to deal with these kind of tactics?! Another benefit of buying expensive game systems and games is so you can play whenever you want, with or without internet or some subscription but apparently Microsoft doesn't agree. I have been a loyal
user of Microsoft products since Windows 3.1 but this experience is starting to make me regret not choosing Sony PlayStation 4 instead!

Far Cry 4 "Unavailable"

May 14. Cannot play digital copy of far cry 4. Store says unavailable. Why do I pay for games and then am unable to access them? I'm about to trade in my Xbox for a ps4, I'm getting tired of the constant in your face sales tactics and being unable to access
content I paid money for.

Ok,so i have subscription for Xbox live gold and Xbox game pass paid and cannot play the games i downloaded. Can anyone tell me how much will it take to fix this error? Because it is not worth to pay for nothing all this monthly subscriptions. Thanks.

 

Unless the game is an online only game (which would be up to the developer's not Microsoft), you don't have to have gold to play them.

 

I think the only games that you have to have Live Gold are the monthly free Games with Gold games. When I go on the Xbox store and look at those games it says that I can play the game free for now or I can purchase a copy to own forever.

 

You do not need a gold subscription to play games on the Xbox One unless the game states that you do. (Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, Plants V Zombies Garden Warfare 1 & 2 etc etc). If you want to play the console offline, you only have to go into network
settings and make the console play offline. Remember though that if you do make your console go offline, make sure your console is set as the home xbox, otherwise your digitally downloaded games will not work. For more info on the Home Xbox setting have
