Cannot play downloaded game from Xbox store on xbox 360

I downloaded Burnout 3 from Xbox Store to my XBOX 360. I have a 60GB free hard disk space and it was downloaded onto the hard disk.

But when I try to play, it says "could not play and download again"

Using downloaded content offline on your old 360

I own both a 360 and an Xbox one.

I use both because I cannot store all my games on the Xbox one.

I want to be able to play my downloaded games on the 360 while offline. It sits in a room that doesn't have a modem and I don't have a 360 wireless adapter.

Can I have my Xbox one set as my home console and still play paid for and downloaded games offline on my 360?

Hi, you have to get the add-ons either purchasing them from an actual xbox 360 or from the xbox 360 store on xbox.com. You cannot purchase them in game on the xbox one.

 

Please do as suggested and uninstall/reinstall the game and see if it works then.

Is your Xbox 360 hard drive an official hard drive? If you bought a '360 Hard drive' from private sellers on eBay or Amazon, then it's likely that the drive is not official hard drive.

Only official Xbox 360 hard drives from Microsoft will play original Xbox games using backwards compatibility. Only they contain the files in order for the emulation software to work. This will not effect Xbox 360 titles.
