    Hi,

    So, I had an issue with my xbox playing games via disc, I tried everything, the first issue indicated that when I inserted the disc it couldnt read it at all, as none of the displays of the games would come up. Tried hardware resetting, change the power
    saving modes, absolutely everything via the forum. I ended up having to get it replaced.

    The replacement xbox worked a treat, for two weeks, now it will not play games either. Very frustrated, can someone please help.

    DO I really need to get this swapped again? Man this is painful, there is no support people to chat to currently and really.. I cant believe a replacement has broken down again after two weeks? Surely they replace problem parts with better working ones?
    Any help from anyone? Anyone having these issues too? I chose xbox over pd4, was this a mistake?

    Hi there the xbox one cannot play 360 discs but you can plug a hdmi cable from your 360 to your xbox one's hdmi in port that way you can play your 360 games on your xbox one.

    Nope..
    I am fairly positive that the XBox One cannot play .mp4s/.mkvs, etc that have been burned on to a black disc.

    No Skyrim is not an available game on the xbox one. You cannot play the 360 disc of skyrim on xbox one or the downloaded version. Also you cannot use any of the add ons for skyrim on xbox one since the game cannot be played on it

    drive. The disc-free console simply cannot be used to play disc games. Fortunately, all titles are available for digital download so it can play everything you'd want it to play. But if you have an existing collection of Xbox discs, you should definitely buy
    the console with a disc drive.

    Dalek, you aren't understanding the system here.

    If you have a digital version of a game (which you download to your Xbox one) it has no disc, this is licensed to your account, it CANNOT be lent out, or sold, it is yours FOREVER, you cannot trade this with friends it is BOUND to your account.

    Disc based games, install to your hard-drive as you play but you need the disc in the tray to play, if you lend the disc out to a friend.. and go back home, and launch your game.. it'll say "please insert the disc to play", it won't let you play without
    the game because you need the disc... this prevents you from selling the game after installation and having a free game.

    You CANNOT play the disc based game WITHOUT the disc, even if it is on your hard-drive the same way it is now on 360.

    Its on xbox one, and the game is digitally downloaded but the dlc, shivering isles and knights of the nine, are off of the goty disc 2. I cannot play the dlc without the disc in the console but if i remove the disc and then put it back in i need to redownload
    the update and the dlc off the disc.
