Cannot play Battlefield I or uninstall it

I started downloading Battlefield I when I had Gold membership. I paused it. Then I restarted the downloading later, but was unable to use it as my gold membership expired. It stayed in my "ready to install games" the entire time, I could download it,
but when I launch it the first screen appears and then the page goes back to the xbox main menu... I have renewed my gold membership since, but the problem persists...

If I uninstall battlefield, the space used (around 70gig) is not freed as it does not uninstall properly... In fact, it then stays in the "ready to install" list and when I re-install it takes just a few seconds and it is back in my list of games, fully downloaded...

I would like to either: play battlefield or be able to uninstall it to use the space but neither is possible at the moment.

Let me know what can fix this.

Thank you - uninstalling, then a power cycle did the trick!

Then I just hid the "ready to install" option for this game to prevent further issues.

Hey Tchoum,

Thank you for reaching out! If you haven't already, try
removing and re-adding your profile on the Xbox.

Press the Xbox button
to open the guide.
Select System > Settings > Account
> Remove accounts.
Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.
When you're finished, select Close.
