Cannot play any games with an X|S symbol.

Recently I bought an Xbox for Christmas. I hook it up an decided to download warframe. It downloaded the game. Then, it tells me to upgrade it. So I did. It won’t me play warframe or any game. I even signed into my brother’s account and try to do this with among us and assassin’s creed odyssey and it still doesn’t work I can’t play any games with the X|S symbol.

I resettled my Xbox an overall 10 times both hard reset & factory reset.

It still doesn’t work.

I tried the cancel queue, hard reset, and unplug the power cord for over ten minutes.

Still doesn’t work. If anyone has the fix to this I would appreciate it.

That's the issue. The games would need to be on the internal drive. Series S/X enhanced games can only run from the internal drive or the Seagate expansion card that is available. Regular external drives are not capable of running the enhancements.

Wasn't able to see that what you have an is Xbox Series S which is why I asked if it's a disc game, I apologize for that.

Please do try to perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

In my original question I stated I downloaded these games.

Can’t try any disc games because I haven’t bought any.

Thank you for letting me know. To check if it's the console or the hard drive let's try to install the game with the hard drive unplugged.

Please unplug the external hard drive then perform a power cycle before installing any game. Make sure to keep the hard drive unplugged.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.
