    Cannot play a game pass game


    About a week ago I downloaded saints row 3 off of Game Pass. I went to start it up this morning and I got the Do you own this game or app? Pop up. I have had this happen before so I restarted my Xbox and nothing. So I did a hard shutdown and still nothing.
    Usually this has always fixed it when this has happened to me. So I checked the Microsoft store and it says that its installed on my xbox and the play option is where the install option usually is so I know I own it. The only other idea I have is to uninstall
    and reinstall it but I am pretty far in the game and dont wanna lose any progress and have to start over. Does anybody else have any ideas on how I can fix this? P.S the error code I am getting is 0x803F8001 if that helps.

    The game isn't on Game Pass anymore, hence the error code. If you want to play it, you'll have to purchase it or wait and hope it returns to Game Pass. Otherwise uninstall it and grieve your loss. I'll be in a similar situation myself when Shadow of the
    Tomb Raider leaves as I'm only a bit more than 50% complete on that game. 😢

    Do I have to download a game I already have?

    They are playing on PC as well and with Game Pass Ultimate. I have Game Pass Ultimate and the game downloaded but cannot play with them because I did not download through the Microsoft Store?
    As far as I am aware, there is no cross platform play between Steam and Xbox when it comes to Ark, so your Steam version cannot communicate with their Game Pass version of the game. You would have to download the Game Pass version of the game and start fresh
    there in order to play with other people using the Game Pass version.
