Cannot pay from my son’s account

You cannot put the same account on 2 xboxes at the same time. If you want your son to have xbox live you will have to pay for xbox gold memberships.

How do I join xbox live for playing Mine craft, someone keeps telling me it is free but I cannot find a free account anywhere. Please help it is for my son and he wants to play with his freinds but we are not going to pay for a gold account.

I cannot create an Xbox account for my son.

Just tried deleting my sons profiles along with clearing the cache as suggested on the first page and am still getting the same issue.

Workaround it is for the time being then. Although I am not happy about paying for a service that my son cannot use properly!!!

1). The xbox and the son came to me via foster system so the xbox home is designated to the sons account.

2). I associated my son with my Xbox ID and added him to my family through the web app. The instruction are very close to those you posted.

3). I logged on to his xbox id from the web page and added a payment option.

4). I went to subscriptions and added a yearly subscription to xbox live.

5). When I tried to "join" to pay for the subscription, I was not given a payment dialog.

6). I went through these same steps on my xbox id and successfully purchased a yearly subscription.

Maybe you can tell me why I cannot buy a subscription from my sons account which is associated with mine in the family section?

Is there another way that I can share my subscription with my son without changing the Xbox home id?
