cannot pay for a purchase halo preorder or cod via my gift voucher credit.asking for card ...

good morning. this issue has been bugging me for months so i thought id try to submit in this forum.

i put a prepaid £50 credit on my xbox account so i dont need to use a debit card. initially i tried to preorder halo masterchief collection using my net browser on my pc.when clicking on the checkot its forcing me to enter debit card details to proceed or
my paypal. But i want it to use the funds credited in my xbox account via prepay.Thinking it was due to preordering i overlooked it.

this week i tried doing the same for call of duty and again,its asking for debit card details.

been a verified xbox live member for 5 years and i dont have a clue why this checkout wont let me pay for either game. anyone out there know how i can correct the issue?both orders were tried via internet explorer on my pc?

just preorder halo 4 or black ops 2 or w.e there and pay for it in full.

if you are a reward zone gamer unlocked member thing you get $20 gift card when you preorder then buy select games I think the gift card is issued around December though.

Same, was waiting to preorder it online, then got it from GameStop and it was for a $30 gift voucher.....

 

In order to use funds from an ms account you must purchase via the console

 

Like ngocphi said, the website is not set up for the use of local currency. You will have to make the purchase through your console if you do not wish to use a credit/debit card.

 

didnt get an alert for these 2 replies which i'll investigate after. i did manage to self resolve via purchasing with the console directly.i.e not via a pc link. you still need one debit card attached to your profile as reading up ms make a verification
payment to check if your details are valid. so as a confirmation uk users cant purchase xbox games or xbox one games via prepaid vouchers on a pc. a pants rule if you ask me.workaround is to make the purchase with the console directly. many thanks for the
