Cannot Parent Authorise Child's xbox Account Creation "too many repeated authentication...

Try this part; using your own account, go to account.microsoft.com/family and create a new family group. Invite the child account into that family group as a member.

Then you can control all the settings you need.

The child already has a microsoft account.

I don't want to create a new microsoft account as the one I have created uses his email address.

I get the same problem if I attempt to log in to xbox.com using the child's microsoft account - it asks the parent to sign in and validate at this point.

Why is it not possible to fix the webpage that causes to the too-many-redirects error when I attempt to follow the correct process?

Hi Ralph, this is caused by your parent account having 2 step authentication turned on and Xbox.com doesn't support the Authentication redirection, Microsoft and a number of sites are fully aware of this but Microsoft answers agents read from a sheet and are totally oblivious to it.

You have 3 methods available

1 >Disable 2 step temporarily

2 > perform the authorisation on an actual xbox

3 > Login the childs account to support.xbox.com

The 3rd mechanism works because there is a FLAW in support system that allows an account to bypass parental controls and directly create a gamer tag.

Create the child's account Independently of yours first. Just go to Xbox.com and sign up the child's account.

Afterwards using your own account, go to account.microsoft.com/family and create a new family group. Invite the child account into that family group as a member.

Then you can control all the settings you need.

New parental settings were brought out November/December so if you're account is a child account, you would need parental authorisation. Xbox accounts will only acknowledge original date of birth on creation. The date of birth can not be altered once set.
