Cannot migrate account due to microsoft "procedures" that seem to make it impossible ...

I have recently moved to Australia and brought another xbox 360. I signed up for xbox live using a pre paid subscription card. I have since been purchased and been given some xbox points that I want to use however they are all in AUD so cannot be used with
my account still being set to the UK.

I tried to migrate the account to allow me to use this however was told that because I don't have my UK number anymore I need to change the security settings and there is a 30 day wait period after the changes before I would be able to migrate. I was pretty
annoyed as I work in web security and it is an unnecessary "failsafe" as far as I am concerned.

I logged in 30 days after the original changes, only to be confronted with a request to use the same UK number to verify my login. I once again followed the process and said I no longer have it and gave my new Australian number. Once I had done this I was
presented with a screen telling me I now needed to wait another 30 days! I had already changed all those details once, why did it revert to the old information after making me wait 30 days?

I am now stuck with MS xbox points won't have been able to use for 2 months. Also I have paid for but not been able to use my xbox live to its full potential due to this. I have tried speaking to customer services but they just keep saying "we understand
your frustrations but there is nothing that can be done". This is not a satisfactory response to me. I have spent not a small amount of money to be able to use direct downloads etc and have basically been told, tough luck you have to wait to use it. Surely
there is something further that can be done. Why can't it be fast tracked? Why am I being told to re-enter information I already entered and waited 30 days to use only to have it make me do exactly the same thing again? And why do microsoft not have a complaints
department and make it so hard to get things resolved?

If anyone has any suggestions of what else I can do I would definitely appreciate it.

That is (unfortunately) correct.

What you COULD try to do (if you are again able to migrate your account to another country after a few months): Migrate your account back to the US. Purchase to your hearts content and spend all your money. Then migrate your account back to Ireland.
