Cannot login to XBOX Live

I am at my wits end on this.

Years ago I got my Xbox360 and created my account using an email address I used to use for everything (and I still have it though it is not my primary).

I've signed into Xbox Live many times over the years and purchased add-ons and games from the store.

I haven't messed with my Xbox in a few years and started playing some games on it again recently. When I went to login to get some DLC for one of the games I find that I cannot login anymore. It says my account doesn't exist.

I tried logging in at account.live.com and here at xbox.com and neither seem to think my account exists.

Additionally, I received an email earlier this year at another of my email addresses that had something to do with my Xbox Live account. I didn't recall adding that email address to anything so I went and reset the password on the account to keep whoever
was attempting to use my email address from accessing it in the future. If I try to sign in with it it has an account name of "GlamourousTree3" which is definitely NOT my account name (mine is MerZikain).

During my attempts to get this issue figured out, I attempted to login using my super old hotmail account. I got logged in and added the email address I've been using on my Xbox360 to that account in the hope that it would somehow work again. After logging
in here with that account, I see again that somehow I have some BS account name () which is, again, NOT my freaking user name.

I don't know what is going on, why my account that never had a problem back when I was playing games on my Xbox360 is suddenly not working and apparently "doesn't exist".

What can we do to solve this problem? Or should I just cut my losses and not bother with DLC on my Xbox anymore?

Sorry you're having so much trouble!

I wouldn't worry about the two profiles you say aren't yours. They were most likely automatically created when you logged in with emails that didn't have Xbox profiles attached to them.

When attempting to login with the email you had attached to your original profile, are you sure it's not recognizing the email address, or is it possible you had the password wrong? If you think the password is incorrect, you can try resetting that. If you're
sure it's correct or if it's not recognizing the email at all, you'll want to make sure the account is actually still associated with that email address.

If you're still not able to login and you cannot think of any other email that could be associated with the account, you'll probably need to contact Xbox Support. Hopefully they'll be able to use another method (such as your payment history) to help you
locate the account. Using the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the article I linked above will be the best method since it will help connect you to the best line of support. Alternatively, you can click

I visited that page something like 8 times last night trying to get this figured out.

I'm not mistaken on which email address is associated with my account since it's the one that comes up when I try to connect to Xbox Live on my 360. I never changed it since I don't know how and never needed to.

It's definitely the right address but the xbox.com and live.com both say it doesn't exist.

I'll try contacting Xbox support and see if they can help.
