Cannot Log on to Xbox One

Cannon log on to my Xbox One. When I go to log on, it asks me for the password to an email address that I no longer have and is not actually associated with the account. Logging onto my Microsoft Live Account and checking the settings in my gamertag did
not seem to do anything. I have no options avail on my screen accept reset password. I tried that, but the system will not accept any of the Character inputs needed to go to the next step. the text enters, but just recycles to the next set of characters.

In order to sign-in to an Xbox Live profile on an Xbox One console, an internet connection will be required. You can still use your Xbox One console offline after you have been signed-in, but if the profile was removed or signed out, an internet connection
will be needed so you can type the password in. Hope I understood the issue, please let us know if you have further questions!

Have you had a chance to try resetting your password through a browser with the steps in this

Change Your Password Troubleshooter? If not give that a go and let us know how it goes. If you have 2-step verification enabled you will need to generate an app-specific password for your Xbox One if you haven't already.
