Cannot log into Xbox Live

When I sign into xbox live, I get the error code 80072741, which apparently relates to an issue with my billing address / payment option.

I've tried the steps listed on Microsoft's website, deleting and downloading my account again works, but if I restart the console, I get the error again. Does this now mean that I need to delete my account each time I switch the console on?

I've also tried to update my billing address, deleting my payment option, clearing the system cache and rebooting the console, but I still get the same error.

Hi

There is no specific game - I cannot log into XBOX live.

The Xbox.com/live status says all is working but I cannot log into live

I have :

Cleared the cache

reset router

power cycled

Still not working

Thank you for your help. I submitted a ticket to my ISP and am currently in queue with Microsoft support. This would be easier if I knew who's issue it was (Microsoft or the ISP). And I'm really hoping they both don't tell me that the other is the problem!

I've had the same problem for few days now. First it connects to Xbox live, then immediately disconnect me from Xbox live and tells me it can't connect to it, and wants me to test the network. The network tests always pass fine. Still can't connect to xbox
live.. Gold account. According to the status there are some issues with xbox live but they claim it only affects Minecraft. support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status
