Cannot Log In (Jan. 13th, 8am EST)

I'm obviously logged into my account via the web and my internet connection is working but when I try to sign in on my Xbox One, I enter my user name password (6 digits one) and it won't even go through the next screen to enter my Xbox Live Account password.
It did once and it didn't go through.

Now I get that I should try again later and "sorry it looks like our service isn't working right. To check Xbox Live service status go to
Xbox One Support | Xbox 360 Support | Xbox Live and Billing Support"

The support page says that 360 storage and retrieval from the cloud is not working now...but I have the One. What is going on?

Can you Powercycle your Xbox One ? You can do this by holding down the powerbutton untill it turns off (takes approx 10 seconds)

If after that you still cannot login can you check your network settings and fill this out?

When I test the connection is gives me no errors.

But when I test the Multiplayer Connection, I get an error.

I literally cannot play anything because I cannot log in to my account. And honestly, keeping my account signed in since I got this console has been a pain...it disconnects my login all the time and no matter how many times kinnect recognizes me ever.

Just tested multiplayer connection again and got "Can't finish multiplayer tests. Back up and try the test again. If it still doesn't work, tehre may be a problem with your network (0x780)

Then it gives me the option of setting up a network.

 

I cleared the MAC Address once, and by doing that it forced the system to reboot and solved connection issues. But I can't remember where I did that.

Where do I go to do that?

 

You can clear the MAC adress from the network settings

1. Press the Home button
2. Press the Menu button (right from the home button),and select
   Settings
3. Select Network and Advanced settings
4. From there you can choose an alternate MAC adress

A powercycle also forces a reboot





As for your Moderate NAT you can try to put it on open by port forwarding

This is what I want you to do

1. On your Xbox while on the home menu press the menu button and select
   Settings
2. From there you select Network
   
   You might want to write down the information on the right side;Subnet mask, Gateway
   
3. You then select Advanced settings This will allow you to configure your IP
   
4. You select manual DHCP selection and you will be prompted to enter an IP
   
   Try to make the IP in between 192.168.*.100 and 192.168.*.200
   
   The " * " stands for the subnet which you can copy from your gateway as this can differ for some people gateway usually looks like 192.168.0.1 so just copy the 0 in this case
   
   
5. After that you will be asked for the Subnet which you just copy from what your wrote down
   
   
6. You also just copy the gateway from what you wrote down

You now have a Static IP for your Xbox One

On to the next step

1. Go on your computer and gain access to your gateway settings
   
   This can be done by entering the gateway into a browser
2. On the sub tabs select Port Range Forwarding
3. In Start Port and End Port type in.
   
   • Port 88 (UDP)
   • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
   • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
   • Port 80 (TCP)
   • Port 500 (UDP)
   • Port 3544 (UDP)
   • Port 4500 (UDP)
     
     On ports where it says UDP and TCP you can select
     Both from the dropdown menu

4.In IP Address type in the IP Address of the
Xbox.

5.Put a check in the Enable box.

6.Select Save Settings.

Now you have opened the required ports for the Xbox One, there should only be one step left

1. Click Setup across the top.
2. Click Lan Setup from the sub tabs.
3. Click the Pre-Assigned DHCP IP Addresses button.
4. Enter in the Xbox's MAC Address and IP Address.
5. Click Add Static IP.
   

Now Powercycle your Xbox and go back to network settings

• Test multiplayer connection
• Hold the bumpers and triggers on your controller to instantly load the detailed statistics
  
• If your NAT says open behind a cone network you should be set

 

What does that do to security of my network in general by opening all these ports?

 

Nothing much, the Xbox just needs these open to send the traffic through, if one or more ports are obstructed it won't be able to send the data properly and lag or connection issues might occur

I cannot sign into mine either. Nothing has changed and we were on the xbox last night. My internet is working fine as well. It shows the connection fine and shows the NAT is fine. I am getting the same response though. Did we find out what the issue
is?

-Leave this blank

Start Port - What do I enter?

-The ports are listed above so for port 3074 the startport is 3074 on both UDP and TCP
(there should be a dropdown where you can choose both)

End Port - What do I enter?

-You can enter the same as the startport

Advanced users can use port ranges but since you're not familiar with it I suggest making a new port forward protocol on your router for each port. Just make sure you enter the correct UDP or TCP or Both in the forwardlist
