Cannot locate games I have downloaded from Gold

Good afternoon all,

Could someone help pleaase, I have been downloading the free games from Xbox gold and most of them are all ok.

However some of the games I cannot find on my hardrive or in the games menu.

Any ideas why I cannot findn them, i have redownloaded them several times but they still do not appear in the games menu.

This has happened with this months gears of war download and super sniper.

Cannot Find Game Vids after new dashboard update

Now that the new dashboard update has been done I cannot find/locate/play my downloaded game videos.

I used to be able to locate them and play them in the old dashboard under games/game videos, but this option does not exists anymore.

I can see that they are still on my xbox when I go to storage, albeit I cannot locate from where in the new updated dashboard do I play them.

Problem installing CoD4 Variety Map Pack. Downloaded but not visible in game.

Hi,

I purchased the Variety Map Pack from Xbox Marketplace. After it downloaded there is no evidence of it in the game or in the storage area. When I try and downlaod it again it goes from 1% to 100% in about 2 seconds and says it has downloaded. I still
cannot locate the file or see it evident in the game. I have tried clearing the cache in marketplace settings and uninstalling and reinstalling CoD4. Nothing has worked so far!!!!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there, so when you're referring to the games menu, you mean the 'My Games' section under the games tab? That is weird if they're not showing there and there's no record of it on the hard drive? Can you see them in your download history?

Also you could try downloading them to a separate storage device to see if you can at least see if they're downloading for you, If they do download fine on a different storage device this could mean there is an issue with your hard drive:

Hi sorry for the delay, its taken a while to find my post! Its weird as some games download and I can play/see them but some I cannot. Ive cleared all the cache out etc but still not working. I have the same problem with downloading mafia today. very odd

What is the exact problem?

Do you get a can't download error?

If it's a can't download error then go into the hard drive and delete the partial download for Mafia II

Then download again but they time stay on the active downloads screen.

There is a bug that if you try to download a game on demand in the background while playing another game or an app or just browsing the dashboard, you get a can't download error.

Until this bug is fixed you should stay on the active downloads screen while downloading games.
