I wanted to know if you are still experiencing a problem with the game within the Xbox app on PC? Unfortunately, I could not replicate the error on my end as the game launched on two windows 10 & 11 machines via the Xbox app or xbox.com/play. I even launched it via the Xbox Game Pass app on iOS & Android. Please let me know if you are still having issues.

Unfortunately, as you mentioned, this is an ongoing issue with Assassin's Creed Origins and only the Microsoft/Xbox engineers will be able to fix it. As users, we can only wait.

I'm also crazy to be able to play it on cloud gaming since I did not purchase the game and I'm subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate. It is an awesome game.

Now that you said, I really cannot find Assassins Creed Origins or other Ubisoft games if I search it on the "Xbox Game pass" tab of the Xbox app.

Apparently they are only available for the console Game Pass or for cloud gaming for PC users that have Game Pass Ultimate.

PC users that have PC Game Pass are not able to install and play them on the computer.

We have replicated the issue in our end and found out that we have got the same result. Xbox Console Companion app for Windows 11 and 10 will be discontinued and users will transfer to the Xbox app for Windows 10 users. The Xbox app is the newer version that replaces the Universal Windows Platform app originally designed for Windows 10. The more recent experience removes some legacy features (such as access to Xbox Game DVR cloud clips on your device) and provides access to the PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Most games will report to you your network status. You can also use the network tools in Windows. Xbox network for PC cannot be seen on Xbox console companion because this app will retire and discontinued already. Users of Windows 10 will be asked to download the new Xbox app for Windows.
