Cannot launche Halo : Anniversary from Hard Drive Disk

Hi,

Since I've update the dashboard, i can't play Halo : Anniversary from the Hard Disk (20go), however I used to play it from hard drive on the very first dashboard (not the windows 8 like).

I still can play The Walking Dead : Survival Instinct from the hard drive now, so that's weird.

Can you help me?

Downloaded games won't play without disk...why?

I have saved several games from purchased disk to hard drive, plus downloaded from live to console, but they say that I cannot play them without having the disk inserted. Why do I have to insert the disk if it is downloaded to the hard drive? How do I play
a game downloaded to the hard drive without using the disk?

Do you have the disk in the drive? Even though a game is downloaded to the hard drive, you still have to have the disk in the drive in order to launch it. The system will spin the disk for a second to verify that it is there, and then everything afterwards
will run from the hard drive.

 

I'm guessing you mean you have the game installed, you need to have the disk in the disk tray to play installed games, is the walking dead a fully downloaded game and halo not, maybe?

 

Walking dead is a disk, when installed I put the disk in the disk tray and the game start (from the hard drive).

When Halo is installed (and the disk in the disk tray), if i launch the game, the game will not launch from the hard drive.

I have a FAT 360 (rodded once), I have to take care of his life span, i need to play from Hard drive.

Any solution??

 

Try to Delete and reinstall Halo.... Is this the ONLY game you have issues with???

 

I tried this option before asking help.

Yes it is the ONLY game I have issue with.

Some guy on the internet said "install your game when disconnect from LIVE, then connect and launch the game". For some people (and mysterious reason) it can work (not in my case).

 

Ok now it's a problem.

I pluged an external Hard Drive, I've installed:

-Halo 4

-Halo Anniversary

-The walking Dead Survival Instinct

Only The Walking Dead launch from the external Hard Drive, other games launch from disc.

But why????

 

All right I've pluged all the device out, reset settings to default, format my Hard drive 360, re-install Halo Anniversary, and it still launch the game from disk, i don't know what to do...

 

Halo does launch from disc you can´t change this.

Halo 4 does this too.

Only if you buy the digital version on the marketplace it will launch from the hard drive.

 

Actually my problem is solved.

The disc spin during 5 minutes and stop, so it's all fine.
