Cannot join any parties on my xbox one

Help! I cannot join any parties on my xbox one. The join a party button is just gray. Every once in a while it will work. Ive started having this issue about a week ago. My NAT is stuck on Strict. I have tried everything to fix this. I have also been told
it is an xbox server issue but all of my friends are not having an issue. Anyone know a solution?

Party Chat Not Working

Hey all,

Just signed up as I got my xbox one today. Loving it so far.

However has anyone figured Party chat yet? I can start a party and join the chat, but no one else in that party can.

additionally if i join a party I'm unable to join the chat and get the message "Party chat cannot be started at this time"

Any Ideas?

its got me absolutely stumped

PARTY CHAT BROKEN?!

Ever since I had the update, my friends cannot join any of my parties and I cannot join theirs. Someone please help me.

Hello Killer,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Before going into anything to extensive, Like
port forwarding, I recommend trying out the Alternate Port Selection
settings on the Xbox one.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select All Settings.

Select Network.

Select Network settings.

Select Advanced Settings

Select Alternate port selection

Select Manual

From here on out it will be trial and error. You would select a port from the drop down list and then Test your NAT type from network settings until you find a port that leaves you on open NAT.

I went over to my xbox 360 I can see all my friends online but cannot join ANY of there parties . so this issue appears to be on the Xbox One and to a much lesser extent on the Xbox 360...

That is not the issue. He is on xbox and can talk normally until I join the party from my pc, at that point he can no longer hear people and people cannot hear him. I however can hear people and they can hear me. It is just one person that cannot use party
chat if i join on my pc.
