Cannot install Xbox PC App on Windows 10, error code 0x80072F8F

When I opened my Xbox app nothing would appear where there would normally be my Library and the Store page. I uninstalled the app and upon attempting to reinstall am given this error message.

This error message does not exist on Microsofts website. I have tried several potential fixes online and none of them have worked, including disabling firewalls, restarting the router and running command prompts to clean my machine. However, several sources suggested using Restoro (including Microsoft) to repair my pc, but that also fails to install with a generic error message.

Has anyone else experienced this problem before and fixed it? Would appreciate any help.

It's also worth saying that Epic Games and Steam are also experiencing issues.

I have checked my date time settings and can confirm my date was correct for the UK.

Thank you. Are you able to try changing the DNS in your router to the Google DNS?

Primary: 8.8.8.8

Secondary: 8.8.4.4

I had the same problem with my Xbox series X .

But i managed to fix that.

The problem was that i had child safety on , on my broadband provider .( Virgin media )

That was not letting me to update my Xbox .

After i switched child safety off, everything worked fine.
