cannot install newly purchased minecraft for PC on mircrosoft store

I just purchased Minecraft for my PC. The item is in my order history and when I click on the game, it shows that I own this game. However, when I click install on my devices, it only gives me an option to download it to my console not my PC. I have
closed out, rebooted, and logged back in but no change. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try deleting your game from the Control Panel menu. I had the same problem with Sea of Thieves. I tried installing it over and over through MStore. But it just kept crashing and failing in the end of the download process. Had to delete the game and all
it's content from my pc then reinstalling it to make it work.

From what I remember, there are two types of Minecraft on the Microsoft store. Minecraft for Windows 10 and the Xbox version. My memory is a tad outdated though, so it may be different today.

You can only play it on your computer by having a Game pass Ultimate or Game pass for PC subscription through the Ubisoft connect app.

has to be purchased via ubisoft store for pc or steam or gog, not available via microsoft for pc and only for console, you will need to submit a refund request.

the reason you see it in gamepass pc is if you have ultimate gamepass you get access to ubsoft+ games, you need to have your account linked to ubisoft and use the ubisoft client to run the game if you have gamepass ultimate.

if you purchased Minecraft for PC from the xbox store than right front your xbox app installed on your PC you should have the options to download any games purchased.
