Cannot install Microsoft Gameservices or Xbox Installer on PC to use Gamepass

Gamepass always worked on my PC running Windows 10. This week I got a notification that the app is outdated and I have to update the application. Unfortunately, I am not getting this update completed.

- The Gamepass .exe is stuck during installation https://www.xbox.com/en-US/apps/xbox-app-for-pc

- Installing Microsoft Gameservices through the Microsoft provides a message 'something went wrong'

Have already done all kinds of things including these steps.

Now I cannot use Gamepass on the PC. How can you fix this? Or what is the alternative to install and launch Gamepass games?

Thank you for the support.

Did some steps regarding Windows Store. Something else seems to be happening. For example, it also fails to search for Windows Updates from within Windows. The process is in a loop with no error message. Maybe if I can get this working then everything else will work as well.

I'm going to give you a procedure and I hope it helps in your case and you can access the Gamepass.

1. Simultaneously press the Windows+Q keys;

2. Type CMD and right-click Run as Administrator;

3. Copy and paste the commands below into the Command Prompt and press Enter at the end of each one:

reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\services\GamingServices /f

reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\services\GamingServicesNet /f

4. Then press the Windows+X keys simultaneously;

5. Select Windows PowerShell (Admin);

6. Copy and paste the commands below and press Enter at the end of each one:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage -allusers

7. Restart the system and then press the Windows+X keys simultaneously;

8. Select Windows PowerShell (Admin);

9. Copy and paste the commands below and press Enter at the end of each one:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9mv0b5hzvk9z

10. Restart the system to finish the processes and try to install the app again.

Not sure if I have already done these steps. But in any way am going to carry it all out this weekend.

This morning I was running the Xbox installation through. At some point the process stopped and I get a message 0x80131505.
