    Cannot install games via the Game Pass App


    For some reason today I tried to install a game an dwhen I go to install it come up with a new window saying Choose a Drive, saying go to profile, settings, profile I do this but it still wont let me install, the button is disabled. I have tried a few thinsg liek changing Drive, and changing storage options to a different one but still nothing.

    Ca some one offer any help or support please ?

    This could happen because a file was deleted on one of the disks, the file name was .GamingRoot, you need to restore that file It should be on your recycle bin, or you can create a new file text on the same location it was previously, only works in the same location that was previously, then you need to remove the extension of the file so it must be just ".GamingRoot", once you do that you try to install the game on that drive, once it starts you can cancel and copy that file to any other drive where you wanna set a path for installations.

    Another reason could be that you try to change the drive to a different one but that drive isn't the one you set for installations outside the Windowsapp folder, you need to change or copy the same file to that drive for it to work

    You can only play games via the cloud that are both part of game pass, and you have a game pass ultimate subscription

    You cannot play random games from the Windows store, you have to install anything not part of Game Pass

    I have reset the computer and still I can't access game pass. I can install other games via the xbox box app but when I try to install an xbox game pass game it gives me no drives.

    Thanks for the reply. I restarted the system 3 times, and after the third time it finally shows that I have Game Pass. I'm not sure what the issue was, but now I have another issue. I cannot install Gears 5 with Game Pass. The option is greyed out. Is
    there a reason for that? I can install other games still via game pass.
