Cannot install games on the xbox app

    Cannot install games on the xbox app


    So I click Install on any game in the Xbox app, and it says "Preparing, 0%". It stays at 0%. I've tried restarting my laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox app and Gaming Services, and updating my Windows. I do not know what to do, and I cannot install any games. Please help me!!

    And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

    This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

    Unable to install Gears 5 - PC

    Seems like Gears 5 needs to be installed using the Xbox PC Beta App. Please check if your Windows 10 is version 1903 or not. If it is an earlier build the Xbox App does not seem to install. i have this problem with my Surface Book 2 which cannot update to
    1903 due to an issue with that build and the surface line. This means i cannot install the Xbox PC app, and as a result i cannot install Gears 5.

    The store on a regular computer links to your Xbox App on PC which shoudl allow you to install it.

    Yes - as per my post. I use the media tool to create an iso file and then did a reinstall, keeping my files.

    Doing that got everything working again for a few hours.

    Unfortunately, most of the problems then recurred (unable to install or uninstall games from the xbox app, cannot cancel existing queued installs, cannot run most games on the xbox app).
