Cannot install games on HDD with fresh install of windows(picture included)

So i just reinstalled windows and downloaded xbox app to play gamepass games. Now it seems i cant install games to the drives i want them to be installed and also the program do not reconize already installed games. Also cant install any new games to the HDD's. How to fix this?

yep, you will have to remove the folders on those drives (google how to do it if not sure as it is pretty confusing for the average users). microsoft use encrypted folders to store the games and apps and with a new install of windows this then breaks the encryption and you have to re download everything.

unlike all the other launchers Microsoft went with a pathetic option.

I can't install both AoE IV and Forza Horizon 5 through Game Pass 0x00000001 error message. I tried everything, including a fresh install of Windows 11, but I still have this issue.

The only thing that worked for me was a fresh windows install(you have to install all your games again). I tried every tricks in the book that i know off and the only thing that worked was a fresh windows install. Halo mcc works perfecktly after that.

did you upgrade or did you do a fresh install, if a fresh install then as the windows games are placed in an encrypted folder this breaks as it is tied to the one install of windows, you would need to re download the games if that is the case.

if upgraded then they should still work ok and are located under the xbox app in the library.

What do you mean a fresh windows install? Are you saying reinstall the whole game again, cause we've tried that. This problem hasn't even affected me but it has for some including my friend.
