    Cannot install games on C drive says it is not formated to NTFS.


    I'm trying to download fallout 76 on my c drive because on my d drive I don't have any of the folders that say 86 programs or 64 the game just downloads directly to the folder but even though its a ntfs drive its marking it as not formatted (I'm trying to the game in my c drive because I'm having the noregionping error)

    The WindowsApps folder will be created on your C hard drive, you will see the game folder but it doesn't mean that the game is being allocated on your C drive. The game will only occupy the storage you selected to install. If nothing is being installed on your SSD you have to check if your SSD is formatted in NTFS format.

    Thanks, the drive where you install the game is formatted as NTFS?

    Also, could you try installing a game to C: drive and other game on the other drive to see if you're able to open both or just one game

    Default install location set to Z: but only a few games will install there. Most still show C: as the only option to choose during install

    Well, my problem just solved itself.

    I was watching a hockey game and The Outer Worlds just sneakily installed themselves along with Stellaris. Could have been just a massive server overload then?

    Edit: It still won't allow me to install new games, desperately trying to convince me my NTFS drive isn't formatted as NTFS.

    And no, I can't use the "install to system drive, then move it elsewhere" method, because my system drive is nowhere near the required capacity for the big games.

    This is an odd issue since all of my drives are NTFS bu the Xbox app does not see it that way!
