Cannot install games in xbox games app

I was unable to intall xbox application. Downloading the installer and installing from there doesn't work because I receive the 0x80070005 error. Neither could I install it the through microsoft store where I get the same error. Only, upon reseting the xbox game bar in app settings, I was able to install the app through the microsoftstore. However, I'm still unable to download games where upon I get the same 0x80070005 error before the download even starts.

I've tried turning off the "use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my devise after an update or restart" option. It did not work

I have no games installed. The Xbox App is crashing. I cannot install anything because of this.

May I know if you tried installing the Xbox app from here and not Microsoft Store?

And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

It's already progress. Try running an in-place upgrade to fix this once and for all. This link has instructions.

I appreciate the response. I've followed your instructions but I'm still encountering errors when downloading gaming services and games.

Actually, it does work. I'm still can't install gaming services (probably not important) but can install games now. I have to run the "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers" command everytime before I install a game however.
