Cannot install games in XBox app PC

    Cannot install games in XBox app PC


    Games like Forza 5 and others fail to install. There is an error 0x80070424.

    Here is the message from event viewer:

    I was unable to locate it in Component Services. I did locate the Gaming App key in the registry and grant my user full control.

    Apps still fail to load.

    Unable to install Gears 5 - PC

    Seems like Gears 5 needs to be installed using the Xbox PC Beta App. Please check if your Windows 10 is version 1903 or not. If it is an earlier build the Xbox App does not seem to install. i have this problem with my Surface Book 2 which cannot update to
    1903 due to an issue with that build and the surface line. This means i cannot install the Xbox PC app, and as a result i cannot install Gears 5.

    The store on a regular computer links to your Xbox App on PC which shoudl allow you to install it.

    And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

    This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

    When you open the Xbox app on your PC, no games are showed there? What exactly the app showed you when you open it?

    Also, you said you installed, 11 of them, you cannot see them installed on your PC?
    They installed Windows 11, not "installed 11" games.

    Try this workaround

    Open the Xbox app on phone or PC and sign in

    Search for the game that cannot be installed

    Press Download to console and select the destination console

    Once the game has installed on that console, insert the disc and try to launch it
