Cannot install games by Xbox Game Studios on Windows 10

I have a similar problem to a lot of people, i.e., I cannot install some of the games available through the xbox gaming pass for pc. However, for me the issue is limited to games by Xbox Game Studios it seems. All other games can be installed, both via
the xbox app and the windows store.
The games, e.g., gears tactics or bleeding edge, start installing, but after ~250MB are downloaded the installation stops and reports:

Check your Internet connection

We couldn't connect you to the service.

I tried running wsreset, resyncing clock, stopping the wuauserv, renaming the softwaredistribution, restarting the update service, checking for updates.

Any help appreciated!

I managed to download about a quarter of Gears Tactics by repeatedly changing between the three possible settings of "Delivery Optimization" (in system settings). The download started with "Allow downloads from other PCs" enabled, but limited to "PCs on
my local network". I only have one PC on my network. However, after ~7GB the download stopped and now I'm getting the same error again. Very frustrating.

PS I'm using Microsoft Store to start and resume the download, as many other threads recommend that over the Xbox App

In the end, retrying the download tens of times over a few hours resolved the problem....

A week on, still unable to download Xbox Game Studios games - Gears Tactics or Ori and Will of the Wisp. Games from other studios download and play just fine...

Only gamepass ultimate works with steam deck

Unless you install Windows 10

Steam.os cannot install games because from gamepass games are windows based

Only cloud gaming is supported unless you install Windows 10
