    Cannot install Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox One X no matter what I do!


    I have tried clearing local saved games, installing offline, soft factory reset and even cleaning the disc (which already looked very clean) and NOTHING works. It absolutely won't let me install without a massive update (same for Horizon 4, I believe, so that's TWO games I can't play) that never gets beyond 2.71 GB before stopping.

    I know this is something others have dealt with, but I've never seen anyone get this issue resolved. Everywhere I look, the same suggestions are given, then the thread closed with no update from the person who needed help, so I have no idea what may have worked for them.

    Please help! I just want to play the games! Shouldn't be this difficult to do so! Cannot install Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox One X no matter what I do! :(

    My idea worked! I installed the trial version (so glad that was available!) and it no longer says 'Trial Version will expire soon' when I start the game, but continues working from the disc. To make sure, I ejected the disc, tried to run the trial, it said it was expired, but when I put in the disc, it started up right away. :)

    What a ridiculous adventure this has been, but I'm just glad it's over and I can enjoy this amazing game. Thanks for all the suggestions made, no matter the outcome. Really appreciated that.

    I tried both of those DNS settings and it still won't work. Maybe the disc itself is defective. Really wish I didn't have to buy the game(s?) again just to see if it'll install or not, but I guess I have no choice if I want to actually play.

    We are having this same issue. Ours is a downloadable game not a disc. Worked on Xbox one but not working on the series X. Tried both dns codes and still not working.

    I had forgotten that Horizon 4 actually did install, but the problem with that one is that right after I picked my first car, it started applying some update or something and froze. I hear it has happened to others as well. Haven't really tried again lately.
