Cannot install any games using either MS store or Xbox app (Error 0x80070424)

I cannot install Horizon 5 using either the MS store or the Xbox app. I keep getting error 0x80070424, which I found to be mostly related to Windows Update services, I checked in the services tab and it was running fine. I tried a fix online which instructed me to reinstall Microsoft Gaming Services - which did not work. I've tried resetting the MS store and the Xbox app, and obviously those methods didn't work either. Which leads me here.

For context, I preloaded Horizon 5 premium edition on November 4th and played extensively during the 5th. However, when I powered on my computer on the 6th, I found that FH5 had somehow uninstalled itself. So I spent an entire day reinstalling it (mostly because MS store was stuck at 20 mbps download for some reason even though I have 150 mbps down) just to find that it wasn't listed anywhere on my computer and that it took ~100 gigabytes out of my C: drive, even though I specified for it be on my G: drive.

I'm at a loss for words and I'm quite irate that something like this could suddenly happen, I suppose now that Forza Horizon has moved onto Steam I should make my purchases there from now on. However, I would still like to try and remedy this issue as I've basically spent $146 CAD on a game which I can't even install. So any help is appreciated and I would like to thank anyone in advance for offering anything.

All of my important data is on external devices/cloud so I was good to go.

I'll give this a go after backing up my data (insurance policy) I guess, couldn't hurt right?

Coming from someone who just did a full reset, files and everything, this isn't going to work either.

Hi there Nk welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had this 0x800 issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!
