Cannot hear anyone game or party chat

I cannot hear anyone on my Xbox one rather it be a game or party chat. i've looked at many forums and trouble shooter solutions, nothing has seemed to work. so now I ask for your help!

Turtle Beach 500x - no chat following update

My friend has 500x after the update everything works fine in game, but in party chat he cannot hear anyone one but we can hear him fine.

 

Xbox One Wired Headset problem

For some reason i cannot hear my friends in party chat but they can hear me. Anyone else having this problem?

 

Sorry to hear it. Please try powercycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down. That should help solve the issue.

I already power cycled my Xbox as well. My Xbox One is brand new, I haven't even had it a week. everything works, nat is open, cone-nat as well. have XO ONE turtle beach headset. upgraded firmwarm (fixed my nat problem) audio for the game is fine nothing
wrong there, but I cannot hear anyone talking, not in the game, party, nothing. Had voices the first day I played, then after that never again.

 

When you're in a party make sure your character is switched to party chat and not game chat. You can check this by highlighting your character in the party app and then press A to select the game or party chat options.
