Cannot get Xbox IP for use on windows 10

So I recently left the US with my family to take a 6-month trip through Europe. I have an Xbox 1 and I decided not to bring it to Europe with me, but bring my laptop instead. However, AFTER I left, I realized I could stream Xbox games onto my computer.
The problem is no I cannot get the IP of the Xbox, as it is stored away at home. Any way for me to access it from afar?

I cannot find the ip address for my xbox one. On the windows 10 app I go to settings and network. then it shows no "advanced settings" in order to locate the ip address to connect my device. I have tried ip configure and that didn't work either. I've looked
in my computer settings. I cannot find the right ip address.....please help!

The IP Address of your Xbox One console can only be seen on the console itself. If there is someone at home that you can call to check it for you, that is the best way to get the IP Address from the console.

See here, maybe that will work. Unbeliewvable that XBOX devs cannot determine which network adapter has the gateway, and send out the power on packet on that.

Also did you notice that as soon as the xbox app is powered on, it seems to setup the IP address of the XBOX on the windows 10 PC. When you turn the xbox on, it then takes the IP address, or something like that.

Maybe it is the xbox app creating the XBOX IP on the windows 10 PC that is the issue.

no, you cannot dual boot on the xbox one.

you will get the xbox version of windows 10, and you will not be able to boot to a separate partition to launch a full blown windows 10 OS.

Another possible solution is to manually enter your Xbox's IP address into the windows 10 app.

To do this go to:

Xbox App -> Connect -> Add a Device (In the top right corner) -> Then type in the IP address

To get your Xbox's IP on your Xbox go to:

Settings -> Network -> Network Settings -> Advanced settings
