    "Hmmmmmmmmmmm."



    Really cant decide between Ryse or Watchdogs for launch. I love the overal gritty cinematic and epic look of Ryse. But the opennessof how to tackle a misson and replayability of Watchdogs
    cannot be ignored. I think it will have to be both.

    Ditto - getting same error here. Away to try another game that hasn't been updated to check that it is not just the one game. Annoying cos it let's you play for a few minutes and then pesters you with error message.

    Yup, same issue.

    Microsoft acknowledged the issue about 10 minutes ago:

    Are you having issues playing Watch Dogs online? We're on it! Our team is hard at work trying to get this resolved ASAP! Thanks for your patience while we work. We'll update you again in 30 minutes.

    Also having same issue. However, they say they are working on fixing playing watch dogs ONLINE. I CANNOT PLAY AT ALL. Tried all the suggested update troubleshooting and reset modem and router.

    Could be worse. I went to the extent of removing and reinstalling the game. 90 minutes later, and it's still at 71%. And, I expect once it finishes, I'll still not be able to update it.

    Yeah I personally wouldn't take that step till it's an issue for 24hrs or xbox doesn't acknowledge something is wrong on their end. Feel ur pain tho, had to full factory restore my failbox once already.

    Yeah for some reason it lets you bypass the update everyone in a while but the ubi servers say they are down ya.

    cannot get update for watchdogs

    If you can't get the update make sure there are NOT any pending updates for other games. If you do have updates complete those first you may have to start the game as if you where going to play it to finish the update.
    this worked for me

    you can also delete the queued updates and install later.
    YOU WILL HAVE TO LAUNCH WATCHDOGS TO GET THE UPDATE
