    Cannot get two player connection


    Hi there,

    First off I am not tech savvy but bought an Xbox for my kids and I cannot get any two player games to work.

    I go to the game, then go to profile add or switch, add guest and I just get another version (eg 1 or 2) but I still can't get the 2nd controller to do anything. I've checked the devices setting and made sure they can play, I've checked age limits incase they weren't allowed to play the game being asked, I just have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Basically whenever I pair the device it switches to another controller instead of adding one. Can anybody explain to me what I'm doing wrong? Such a big part of this was to let them play together and I have 3 controllers so I know it can't just be one isn't working.

    We understand that you are trying to assign each controller to your kids. Let us check on this together so your kids get back to gaming.

    Kindly try to follow the steps below:

    To assign an account to a controller, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories.
    3. Select the controller, and then the More options icon (…). Assigned to shows the current account assigned to that controller.
    4. To assign the controller to another account, select Assigned to, and then select the account that you want assigned to the controller. This will pair the controller to this account.
    Note If you want to be automatically signed in to your account whenever this controller is turned on, select This controller signs in. This will take you to the sign-in settings for your account.

    "Unable to Join in progress, Returning to singleplayer" ...

    Hmm, sounds like a "connection problem". There are two causes:

    -----

    1) You have a very WEAK connection and are unable to join players due to this weka connection

    2) Your NAT is set to STRICT or MODERATE. If so, you CANNOT connect to certain players.
