Cannot get past Network Connection after system update last week.

This past Saturday, I turned on my Xbox One and had to go through the out-of-box-experience following the most recent system update. Since then, I cannot get past the Network Connection part. I get an error stating that the wireless network hardware isn't
working, but I'm using a wired connection.

I have tried different cables, different ports on the router, and bypassing the router by connecting straight to the modem. I also spent an hour with Xbox support with no positive results. They tell me I need to send it in for repairs and pay since it is
no longer under warranty.

I read that the problem has been fixed and tried to start my Xbox earlier today, but still cannot get past the network connection setup. I bought my Xbox One in 2014 and have always used a wired connection. Now, after this update, I cannot use my Xbox One
because of a wireless hardware issue although I am not using wireless. Please let me know what I can do, besides paying to repair an issue that an authorized update caused.

No Connection

OK Microsoft, Your system is really trying for past week. Can't hold connection, cannot get bingo rewards, SAD

 

BF3 Unusual Lag..

So after that one last week update, online BF3 has been lagging for the past week and plus its kicked me out of numerous games. I know my connection fine but what gives?
