Cannot get latest saved data and system is connected to internet but says need internet ...

Its doing it agian,.. I turned off my xbox and back on and it started up again. I might try the facory reset and see if that works

Yes, the factory reset involves formatting the internal hard drive and starting from scratch. A lot of the time, it resolves the issues of the OS connecting to the wireless/wired adapter. I think what is happening is the port somehow gets disabled and the
internet connection is lost; and it also could disable the controller connection as well.

Worse case scenario is the main board in the console is fried, but I don't think it is that, it likely has to do with the main OS communication of the hardware; something like the bios in a computer.

The factory reset will re enable the internet connection card in the console and reset everything to default parameters.

 

how do i keep from losing all my paid downloads...like maps movies etc etc..I dont want to have to repay for everything

I assume you paid for the downloads with your profile. When you go back to the recent downloads in the game/app section, it should have the list there, and you can redownload the games and apps there. If the game and app is pinned, it will just ask you to
install them from there.

When I first got my Xbox One console, and ended up exchanging it, I had a purchased game on the original one, and it let me install it on the new console (I exchanged it due to a defect in the Kinect).

 

ok..well i think i solved it..ha ha.. I set my router back to default and its working.. Went in the routers web browser and set the router back to factory default and now its working..cross your fingers

 

well it worked for about 4 hours and Boom ...its doing it again.. Signing me in and out every 10 secs. I got a the cable guy coming out try going to try a different modem..

 

Transfer all your downloads to an external hard drive. Then do the Factory reset. It does work and fixes all the online issues.

 

stained q...what game were you running when this happened. Both times I was running BF 4 .. I had to to factory resets both times to get it to work. I got certain icons in the corner of my screen that im checking on. they have to do with lantency

Im not saying thats it but both times it crashed on me . Ran wired for awhile today and got the same icon but at a lower lever of warning and the wireless was severe ..

 

So the Bright House guy came buy and he said it has something to do with MS new update effecting the certain router I have. He said he will put in the new router that works. From what he said this router works with the new update. Its the newer model. So
Far its working and I got a much better signal as well. I will report back later to make sure everything is good.

He said it will since he had the same issue with his xbox 1 and fixed it by going to this new router

My old router i got 70 % signal strength with this new one Im getting 100 % witch is amazing considering the distance I am from the router ,,Its far ..Oh by the way it was having the same issue with the old router wired and wireless ...

 

I tell people over and over that it's their router , the get mad or don't believe me , not you , I'm just saying for the most part....good luck and good gaming....you will probably also notice if you try and play multiplayer you will get in matches much
faster...

No , he said it did fix it , he also said the tech that came out also had an xbox that was affected and he replaced his own router to fix his...

 

So the problem is solved with the new router ..

The bright house guy said the MS update *** up that particular router I had. He has been replacing a lot of those routers with the new router. He even had to do his own because he was having the same issue with his xb 1 .. So he knew the problem as soon
as he came over ..

I dont remember the old router other then the name Arris ..The new router is Technicolor I think ..thats the only name i see on it..

But im getting a 100% wireless signal now compared to 70% ...Im really far away so its impressive
