Cannot get latest saved data and system is connected to internet but says need internet ...

Ever since the newest upgrade downloaded, my system has been acting up. Even though I am connected to the internet and all connections show I am connected, I cannot get messages, check achievements or connect to Xbox Live. I am at a loss here as I had no
such trouble before the newest update. Can anyone help here? Also, I try to get help on Microsoft site, but when I attempt to chat with support, I am unable to enter my name, and when I enter the problem and hit submit, it wants my name and I cannot enter
any info in the blank areas for first and last name.

Question about game saves on XB1

As long as you're connected to the internet, yes. Xbox One stores saves local and in the cloud so if you uninstall the game it'll need to resync with the cloud when you download it again to get your save data.

 

Problems with online connection

I am unable to play games online with my xbox one. Whenever I go into a game it says "we couldn't get your latest saved data" and other problems like not being able to get my messages and goI got to the digital store are also present. When I test my connection
it says my system is connected without problems which is obviously false and my internet works fine on my I pad and computer. So how is this fixed?

 

Sounds like a connection issue , is your router from your isp ? Is it a "gateway " ? (modem and router)

 

Having the exact same issue as you. Getting same message ,,Cannot get latest saved data. Now its constantly signing me in and out every 10 seconds from xbox live .. It says im online when I do a connection test but when i try and get the details test done(
to show stuff like lantency and download speed )it tells me i need to do go online. So now i believe we both have the same issue it must be the update ..

 

plus I was getting same message. I was playing Battle field 4 and Boom ..Tells me i need internet connection and need gold as well..just like your message

 

Hey BIMNOG, my router is not a gateway. And like others who also responded, did not have this issue till the newest November update. Makes no sense. There is a glitch in the update that needs attention.

 

Im taking it to my friends house tonight and trying it on his network..ill let you know how it goes..

 

There was defiantly a glitch in there and it seemed to affect lots of peoples routers , several things have been working ...reset router to factory defaults , UPNP disable , then re_enable , static ip and port forwarding, going from wireless to wired and
visa versa....seems to be no rhyme or reason as to what works , depends on your equipment...

 

took my xbox to my friends and it worked just fine ...agree with the guy above has to be something in the router ...im going to reboot and call the cable company

 

ok..So I found the problem. I decided to find my router browser and went in and changed the channel myself. You can do this if you dont know how you can call your cable provider. All i did was switch channels there there are 11 for me.. 1 through 11 ..it
worked went from 6 to 1 and now im online

 

woke up this morning and wasnt working..so i called the cable company they did a few things on their end and now its working...not sure for how long..

 

Hard reset your console to clear the cache.

 

I had this issue yesterday, along with other bugs and ended up doing a factory reset to resolve the issues between the consoles board and network card. Sometimes the consoles network card locks up (which seems due to the bugs in the NOXE upgrade) and the
issue usually can be resolved by restarting the console.

 

to grinning...when you do that factory reset do you have to re-download everything?? I would think you would have to right??
