Cannot get a Teredo IP Address

This is starting to drive me crazy. I am able to play online and with friends, but i cannot join the party chat. Also, i have a strict NAT. i get a " Cannot get a Teredo IP address" message when i tried to perform a multiplayer test in Settings. Tried to
port-forward, DMZ, factory router reset, UPnP. Any ideas?

I have a ZyXEL VSG1432-B101 gateway

ive had this issue for 2 days now , will not connect to match making cannot get a Teredo IP address , its nothing to do with my router as it was working fine ,and no amount of changing settings inside it would help, this is a Microsoft xbox problem on there
end ,but when is it going to be sorted out god! knows ? refund

hey yes, there the steps i have followed prior. particularly the ones relating to teredo errors. my nat is open which seems to differ from other people having this problem? but i have done the upnp reset, tried putting the xbox in dmz and also opened up
port forwarding to the xbox for the designated ports and still no luck.. would this likely be an issue with the router? i currently have a gateway due to cable nature of connection, I'm wondering if i was to bridge by gateway and install a different router
if it would likely solve the issue?

 

Is your Xbox connected directly to your ZyXEL gateway (i.e. no other router involved)? Wired or wireless?

 

Connected directly, Wireless. No other Xbox on the network, only this Xbox One.

 

Please delete all Xbox related port forwards, disable DMZ, forward ONLY the following ports to the Xbox, and reboot the Xbox (hold power for 10 seconds):

88 UDP

3074 TCP and UDP

and if you have COD Ghosts, also:

3075 TCP and UDP

3076 TCP and UDP

Test again and, at the results screen, hold LT+RT+LB+RB for additional info. Report back.

Unfortunately, looking at its user manual, the ZyXEL interface is not very user friendly at all.

It would be very easy to not have settings quite right. Leave the manual forwards in place (enable UPnP also, as it should not hurt and may help if your manual forwards aren't quite set up right), and try changing both the settings at Security Settings
> Firewall to "Low." See page 217 of the manual. Retest.

 

That's already how it is now. But yes, i agree, it's not very user-friendly

 

Oops, it is actually just one setting there--in any case, set it to "Low." The manual is not clear, but it appears that setting up a port forward does does automatically allow traffic through the firewall and that must be done separately (this would be unusual
for a home router/gateway). If so, then setting it to "low" (in conjunction with port forwards) should work.

 

Okay, if firewall was set to "low," already, the we'll look elsewhere. Backing up a bit, have you assigned the Xbox One a static DHCP lease (manual, page 132) as is needed to port forward reliably (or set a static IP directly on the Xbox, though some claim
problems with ghat)? Double check everything.

If you can do so, I'd suggest running a server (HTTP, telnet, etc.) on your PC on a non-standard port over 1024 (your ISP may block the well-known ports), port forwarding that to the PC, and running an online port checker on that port to see if it reports
the port as open (indicating that port forwarding is actually working).

 

Xbox one was already set to static ip on router and xbox to 192.168.1.7. And ok ill try that out

 

Ok, so the port is shown as closed when port forwarding port 11155, but then i tried to DMZ my pc and it showed the port as open. soo..... i'm confused.

 

Nevermind, port forwarding is also working. So DMZ and port forwarding both open the ports.
