Cannot Get a TEREDO ip address

My ISP provider does not support IPv6 protocol. Could it cause teredo issues and restricted NAT?

Cannot get a Teredo IP Address

I just ran a test with dmz set on my laptop's ip, and all xbox-related and teredo/ipsec related ports were open. and when i put the dmz on the xbox one's ip, still gives me the stupid cant find an teredo ip adress.... this is just beyond frustrating.

ive had this issue for 2 days now , will not connect to match making cannot get a Teredo IP address , its nothing to do with my router as it was working fine ,and no amount of changing settings inside it would help, this is a Microsoft xbox problem on there
end ,but when is it going to be sorted out god! knows ? refund

Connect your Xbox straight into the modem with an Ethernet cable. If you still get a strict nat, contact your ISP.

Already tried this - no luck

Using Sagemcom gateway F@st 3184 and can see any option to turn on IPv6 or Enable teredo.

Gayeway is DOCSIS 3.0 so it should support IPv6 protocol.

The only thing is left is ISP that doesnt support this protocol.

Could it be something else that I miss?

Teredo tunnels do not use direct IPv6, they use IPv4 as transport to carry IPv6 inside it.

Can You do network test and then press LB+RB+RT+LT and post here detailed NAT status.

Here it is:

It says that my network is behind firewall but firewall is actually OFF on my router.

All relevant ports are opened (Xbox One Network Ports | Xbox Live Network Ports)

Any ideas?

Can You disable manual port forwarding, DMZ and so on and left only UPnP enabled on Your router?

Check Your gateway WAN interface IP address and post it here, only two octets, for example: 172.16.x.x

Without port forwarding and DMZ, with UPnP only I have the same problem with strict NAT.

My current IP is: 46.120.... (changes every modem restart).

It doesn't looks like kind of router issue since I connected my XBOX directly to modem and NAT state was still STRICT.

Good work! Can You ask Your ISP, if they do any filtering on they side? If not, then I can suggest to You, to set Your gateway to bridge mode and use instead of it, some router.

Gateways in most cases can have baggy software and because most of them do not provide any clear ways to check if they really opened ports and do all operation correctly, it's really hard to troubleshoot such setups.

That is exactly what I did and unfortunatly my NAT was still in STRICT state.

I have managed a pool about my ISP and this problem... and guess what

meanwhile there is nobody with open NAT, everybody complaning about this issue.

So I guess this is a problem.

If You find other complains about same issue with Your ISP, then maybe it's good time to change it some other.

EDIT: When I now run the multiplayer connection tests it is saying 'Cannot get a Teredo IP address'.

Calm stated: "Consequently a time capsule on a different ISP with no additional setup works fine." The reference to "a" TC leads me to believe it was not necessarily the same TC he is now using with Comcast. If it is not, then it may be that the other TC
has a different firmware revision that plays better with Teredo and the one he is using now has the flawed version referenced in the links I posted and/or is configured differently. Regardless, due to the nature of the problem, it is most likely an issue
with Calm's router settings. At most Comcast may be able to help walk Calm through configuring it, but it may be that a firmware update/downgrade of the TC is required...

If it was a TC problem GZA, Calm, surely would've got the same error when he tried the connection with a different provider. That's my reason in thinking it's an ISP issue and not the hardware.
