  1. Cannot get a device to work with the HDMI in on my Xbox one s

    Hello,

I noticed my one s has an HDMI in port in the back, and I found it is for running another HDMI device through so you don't have to switch inputs. So I tried connecting my firestick to it, however, even with the Xbox powered on or off, I wasn't able to get
a signal through from the firestick, neither did it show a notification that an HDMI device was connected when the Xbox was turned on. I looked around in settings but I couldn't find any settings that had to do with an HDMI input. Is there something wrong
    I'm doing here?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Cannot get a device to work with the HDMI in on my Xbox one s ;)

    :)

  2. My Xbox 360 Only Displays When I Connect It’s Hdmi Cable Through Xbox One’s One Guide

My Xbox 360 only works with the HDMI on my television when I plug it into my Xbox one and use the one guide app. This means that me and my sister cannot play a Xbox console at the same time, it also wastes a bit of electricity because
this means I would have two consoles on but I am only playing s game on one of them. This also means I can’t move my 360 from my room without also moving my Xbox one too. I have tried the controller and the power button tricks, along with me buying and trying
different HDMI cables. All my other devices work through the television’s HDMI ports just not my 360. There’s only one television that the 360’s HDMI work but it is inaccessible to me. Any new help would be

greatly appreciated as I feel I have looked through all sorts of help but am

    still left lost. Thank you.

Xbox one s not playing 4K blurays

So I am getting the same issue as the original poster my Xbox One S does upscale my games and everything works pretty good but I cannot get my UHD blu rays to display in 4K resolution. I am faced with this issue 0x91d7000a. It mentioned something about
hdcp compliancy, my television is hdcp 2.2 compliant on all 4 HDMI ports.

The firestick should work. From some research I’ve done they say

“You have to go into one guide and it should be at the very bottom on the HDMI channel.”

“I did manage to get it to work and it’s basically just as this person said, plug it into the HDMI on your Xbox, press the power button on your fire stick then open one drive (probably a one guide typo)
on the Xbox and it should all be working!”

“You need to run the TV set up. It'll ask if you have a cable box or something, and set up the one guide (TV guide) then after it should work. I switch between fire stick, Chromecast, and switch on my input.”

I don’t have one to try but I hope this helps.

    Hey Crabbyconnorbomb!

The HDMI in from receiver is designed for use with set top cable boxes and receivers (such as those for watching cable television from)

You can try the steps listed above by the community but if the issue persists you may need to contact the manufacturer of your HDMI device (Firestick) or there is a chance it may not be compatible

    Thank you for reaching out!

  6. I have gotten it to work, however, for it to work the Xbox must be on and have the one guide app running at all times.

I have my roku connected to my xbox one s but cant seem to figure out how to snap them together

Hello Liam T, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to directly connect or connect a Roku device to an Xbox One S console. The Xbox One S does not have a built-in feature or app that allows you to integrate or connect a Roku device within the console interface.

However, there are alternative ways to use your Roku device together with your Xbox One S:

HDMI Switching: Connect your Roku device directly to your TV using an HDMI cable. Next, connect your Xbox One S to another HDMI input on your TV. Most modern TVs have multiple HDMI inputs, allowing you to switch between devices using the TV's input selection menu or a remote control.

    I hope this works.

    Best regards.

HDMI port suddenly not working on Xbox one x - no sound or picture

I had a similar problem it came down to inadequate work on my tv the solder wasnt good enuf so my connection from console to tv was failing i had to get a new tv but if it is this problem then it is easy to fix i you no how to solder
It's definitely the Xbox One X as I've tried an Xbox One S using the same HDMI cable in the same HDMI port on the TV. I've even tried other devices using HDMI in the 3 HDMI TV ports, all work. So it's not a TV fault. Thanks for the reply though.
