I have been in contact with support and was told that the sollution to my problem would be by contacting you guys as you would have the solution.

Yes, you certainly can. The bottom of a 2 Day Gold Pass states the following:

XBOX LIVE 2-Day gold Membership, free trial allows access to these Gold features: online multiplayer gaming, Netflix, ESPN on XBOX Live, Facebook, free game demos, exclusive discounts, promotions and video content.

Free 2-day trial offer is only for use on the XBOX 360 and is not valid for current XBOX Live Gold Members. At the end of your 2-day trial period, your membership will default to the FREE XBOX Live Membership, unless you elect to extend your XBOX Live Gold
Membership.

Now what this doesn't tell you is that you cannot play in ranked matches with the trial membership, but you are free to play in social matchmaking playlists for games.

That is...how do I mildly put this?

Here is my transcript from microsoft support - I was pointed here for a solution to my problem - very annoying indeed - so where can you guys point me? Microsoft childsupport?

Henrik: Ok, I did that, the found the "free trial" - but it says N/A on dates etc..

Henrik: Under My meberships it says: "Free Xbox Live trial" - I click that one

Adriane: Yes, that's right!

Henrik: then I get only "Modify membership" - on all dates on the right-hand side it says N/A

Adriane: I see, can you please go a page back then instead of going to Your Memberships, can you please try going to Xbox Live Gold?

Henrik: The options where I get all the membership options that are available?

Adriane: Yes, Henrik. Were you able to find it?

Henrik: Yes, I have 12 months, 6 months and 1 month

Henrik: not 6 months -3 sry ..lol

Henrik: Only 3 options available

Please don't bump old threads. Billing information is required to start a trial. There is no way to bypass it.

if you did it correctly you should have gotten the free 30 day gold trial if not then your silver

- Sign up for Xbox Live Silver.

- Choose Xbox Live Silver Membership for $0.00 even if you like to have Xbox Live Gold.

- It will ask you if you are sure you want to continue with only the Silver Membership.

- Choose the "Keep Silver" option to continue with the set-up.

- Then it will inform you that you are now eligible for a free 30 day Xbox Live Gold Membership.

- Enjoy the free trial and make sure to keep the upgraded Gamertag account.

There may be some confusion about the payment method and the free trial.

When you set up an Xbox 360 console, you follow an account creation sign-up process so you can access Xbox LIVE Free membership features, assuming that you have a broadband Internet connection.
At the end of the account creation process, you can upgrade to a Gold membership. If you don’t upgrade, you can receive a free 30-day Gold trial.

The 30-day Gold trial is associated with a single gamertag and can’t be added to an existing subscription. A total of three 30-day trial accounts are available per console, and this limitation cannot be reset.
After a user has created three trial accounts, the user no longer receives a message that provides the opportunity to create a 30-day Gold trial account.

To use the Gold trial, you must add a payment instrument to your account.

At the end of the trial period, the Gold trial membership automatically renews to a paying subscription that renews monthly by default. The subscription will renew to the payment instrument that was added.

When you first create the account and do not upgrade, you can get the 30 day trial. You would need to create a new free account and use that to sign up for the free trial when prompted and add a payment option at that time.

Each new console comes with 3 free 30 day trials of Gold memberships. However these free trials are only available to brand new accounts set up on the console. They cannot be stacked or added to existing accounts.
