Cannot find system device

Hi, I am unable to sign in xbox live.

When i am trying test the network connection, it is asking me to update. When i say yes, it says that there is no storage space. When i go in storage, it says unformatted.

Can you please help.

Not using any external device. I am using xbox 360.

Thank you so very much XBF Eladio M. I was able to finally update my xbox and sign into xbox live.

I formatted the storage, went back to the network connection. This time it responded yo the update, but after a while “Update Failed” message came up.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

When you state unformatted, this leads me to believe that you are trying to
troubleshoot an Xbox 360 hard drive.

If you’re using a non-Microsoft hard drive, the device may appear as “unformatted” and prompt you to format the hard drive. Try disconnecting your hard drive and then reconnecting it to see if that solves the problem.

If this does not do the trick, we would have to procceed to formatting the hard drive.
This can be done by highlighting the hardrive in Storage and pressing the "Y" button for
Device options and you can select to format the drive there.

Give this a try and let us know if it works for you!
