cannot find any internet on xbox one

so i tried signing in on my xbox one about an hour ago. it said i was not connected to any wifi so i clicked connect to xbox live. when i did so i could not find any wifi, no matter how close i was to my router. so i tried resetting my console completely
after about 30 mins and now i cant connect at all as their is still no wifi. i cannot connect to any wifi so now i cant set up my xbox.

Manual backwards compatibility update?

Is there any way I can download a compatibility update for all the old xbox games on the list manually? I am unable to connect to the internet on the system, and cannot find a working update.

Are you able to try it wired? If so then see if it will connect while wired.

No, it's told me their is a hardware problem, guess that answers my question.

it could be a wireless hardware problem , still might work wired.....and did you "factory reset" the console or just re booted it ?

Hey there ElsaZQueen,

Internet Explorer isn't actually something you can download and install on the Xbox One. I think you might be referring to Microsoft Edge though, is that correct? If so, that should be installed on your console already. You'd want to look in the App section
of My Games and apps and it's listed under Microsoft Edge. If you're not seeing it, try searching for it on the Xbox Store and see if it pops up for you.
