Cannot Exit Game To Dashboard

After reading some of the current post in this forum, this may just be another example of the on going issues we are all having with the Xbox-One. However, I am starting to worry that my Xbox-One may be at the point where it may need to be repaired...?

Frist, let me state that I have try all the Xbox-One 'Resets' to include; holding the power button for 10 sec., clearing 'Persistent Storage', un-plugging the Xbox and even tried new batteries in the controllers. Yet, the problems continue....

The worst of these problems is after playing a game for a while (MCC, Destiny, etc.) I will 'save and quit' and then be stuck in the game's start-up screen and none of the buttons on either one of my two controllers will work. Not the (A), (B), (X) or (Y).
Not the D-pad, bumpers or triggers. When I press these buttons nothing happens. I am locked in the game's start-up screen. The 'only' button that seems to work at this time is the controller 'Xbox' button. HOWEVER, it only lets me do one of two things, 'Snap'
or power down the console.... The one thing the 'Xbox' button will NOT let me do is return to the 'Dashboard'. Let me repeat, when my Xbox-One is in this state the only thing I can do is 'Snap', or power down the console. Oh, and when I mean 'Snap', I mean
it only 'Snap' to a blank screen.... So, at this point I'm left with powering down the console and powering it back up if I want to continue to use it.

This problem may or may not be related to some of the other issues I am having with this Xbox-One. But, I am growing concern that it may have a real hardware problem that needs to be address.

Issues connecting to friends

Exit to dashboard, relaunch the game and try again.

 

Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One

I cannot fully exit this game. I can only exit to main menu.

I had this issue with Ori and the Blind Forest.

Every other game lets me drop to dashboard the usual way but not Ori.

I ended up holding the controller button to turn it off just to get out of the game like you did.

Not sure why it did it but it doesn't seem like a hardware issue, more of a system software issue.

 

Here ya go...best way to reach them as far as I know, I also have a Thread about a stuck glitch in Ori...Also have reported it, I recommend everyone do the same. ...Let Our Voice Be Heard!!!

I am continuing to have problems with my Xbox-One. At approximately 7:00PM PT on 04-13-15, while playing an online game the system 'crashed' to the following statement;

"Something went wrong"

"Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering 0x8000000b at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate"

Again, I am growing concern that it may have a real hardware problem that needs to be address sooner rather than later...!
